PROJECT OFFICER & COMMUNITY TRAINER

Nyi Win Htet serves as a Project Officer and Trainer at the Integrated Development Institute (IDI Community School) of the Kyun Ta-Htaung Myae Foundation, where he leads and shapes community-based development initiatives. In this role, he is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring community-driven projects, particularly in the fields of education, rural development, and community empowerment.

Prior to joining the Kyun Ta Htaung Myae Foundation, Nyi Win Htet spent years actively working with diverse local civil society organizations and youth social welfare associations. Between 2019 and 2020, he engaged in political party polling station monitoring and public voter education campaigns, and also served as a research enumerator for post-election data collection at the Naushawng Development Institute. Additionally, he has worked as a teaching volunteer in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in Myitkyina, Kachin State, coordinated environmental protection awareness campaigns, and co-founded the “Forest Lovers Foundation” in Bilumyo, Mohnyin Township.

Nyi Win Htet earned a one-year Diploma in English Language and Development Studies from Naushawng Community School in Myitkyina, and holds certificates in Teaching Methodology and Research Methodology from Mote Oo Education and the Naushawng Development Institute. He has also completed the Peace Leadership Program and Facilitation Skills Training with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). He is currently pursuing a BA in Pali and Buddhist Studies at Shan State Buddhist University (SSBU) and resides in Taunggyi, Shan State, with his spouse.
